Fellowship with God

Fellowship with God

Prayer is a man’s conversation with God. It is the dialogue in which man can discuss anything and everything with God. When we pray we believe there is a supernatural personality listening to us, who is omnipotent, omnipresent and omniscient. And even though God knows everything we need to express our desires to Him in words as He also desires to listen from us, not only to have fellowship with us but also to record a receipt of the desires of our free will.

Imagine getting everything you want, even before you ask God. Can God do it? Well there is nothing impossible to God. But what happens is such a scenario; we will stop having fellowship with God, our creator. I was at this website recently http://www.discountdisplays-express.co.uk and I was amazed at the various options they had for shopkeepers to showcase what they had to offer. I wondered if God would showcase what He has for us then we would never deviate from having fellowship with Him.

It is very important to understand the power of fellowship within prayer. Many people are unable to understand the importance of fellowship, this majorly due to the lack of understanding about God’s personality. We sometimes think of God as a powerful force rather than a powerful person. For any relationship to flourish there is a minimum requirement of two individuals. The moment you think of God as a force or some energy, you kill the possibility of an eternal fellowship. If God simply wants us to honour and acknowledge his existence then there was no reason for Jesus to come and die for us. But it was God’s intention to have fellowship with us, for which He orchestrated the crucifixion of His Son Jesus, that we may have the spirit of son ship, fulfilling the requirement of an eternal fellowship.
