Christian church- Sure has the right objective in mind
It is often said that the worst nightmare of a man should not be that he dreams too high. Rather, it should be that he dreams too low and achieves his goal without any effort and without realizing his true potential. Well, one can safely say that the Christian church has wisely chosen the most difficult to achieve objective for purpose for its existence. Its primary goal is to spread peace and goodwill amongst all men and to create a brotherhood of human beings where there is complete harmony and happiness.
Just take a look at the world around you today and you will realize that this is a very optimistic objective. At a time when people get into fights when standing in the queue for airport taxi Heathrow services and end up manhandling each other, to think of universal brotherhood and peace this is a very grand objective. Well, the lessons that we have learned from history in the past is that we have to constantly try to achieve our goal. It may seem impossible. However, that should not get stop trying. When Jesus Christ could give up his life for this impossible goal, the least with that we can do is to believe in this goal and attempt to achieve it successfully.
Instead of adopting a cynical approach, one should understand that every small attempt to achieve this goal will make a huge difference in the long run. Many people speak about the controversial aspects about the church. Well, let he who has not sinned cast the first stone. We all are guilty of jealousy, envy, greed, lust and other such bad qualities. To complain that people desirous of reaching God are frail and ordinary as others does not make sense. We do not become extraordinary by simply ignoring our flaws. We become extraordinary by understanding it and relentlessly acting it to destroy it completely. This is what the Christian church is also doing.
