It is easy to prepare roller banners criticizing the Christian church for its flaws. However, it is very important to understand that a big organization will never have a completely smooth routine. Despite best efforts, big companies face the problem of unethical and unscrupulous people joining their firm. Conducting personal interviews and keeping track of each and every individual joining the firm is very easy when the firm is small. However, a big company will never succeed in keeping track of each and every employee.

That is exactly how the Christian church also works. While this is the disadvantage of being very big, there are many advantages of being a big organization devoted to charity, social work and religious development of the masses. For starters, a member of the Christian Church will have access to resources that is spread all over the world. All he or she needs to do is to walk into the nearest church and seek help. Of course, each and every church will have its own set of problems as far as resources are concerned. However, at no point of time will the individual be asked to handle the challenge on his or her own.

If you find somebody who is struggling with life, you can always request the Christian church to step in. This is the biggest advantage of having a big organization that is devoted specifically to doing social work. Another advantage of the huge organization is that the Christian churches in a position to influence the opinions and viewpoints of people in a manner that no other organization can.

Many religious institutions are set up in a very loose and free manner. However, there is very little unity in such organizations. This is not a problem with the Christian church because it follows rigid order and makes sure that the hierarchy is followed and respected at all times.

It is often said that the worst nightmare of a man should not be that he dreams too high. Rather, it should be that he dreams too low and achieves his goal without any effort and without realizing his true potential. Well, one can safely say that the Christian church has wisely chosen the most difficult to achieve objective for purpose for its existence. Its primary goal is to spread peace and goodwill amongst all men and to create a brotherhood of human beings where there is complete harmony and happiness.

Just take a look at the world around you today and you will realize that this is a very optimistic objective. At a time when people get into fights when standing in the queue for airport taxi Heathrow services and end up manhandling each other, to think of universal brotherhood and peace this is a very grand objective. Well, the lessons that we have learned from history in the past is that we have to constantly try to achieve our goal. It may seem impossible. However, that should not get stop trying. When Jesus Christ could give up his life for this impossible goal, the least with that we can do is to believe in this goal and attempt to achieve it successfully.

Instead of adopting a cynical approach, one should understand that every small attempt to achieve this goal will make a huge difference in the long run. Many people speak about the controversial aspects about the church. Well, let he who has not sinned cast the first stone. We all are guilty of jealousy, envy, greed, lust and other such bad qualities. To complain that people desirous of reaching God are frail and ordinary as others does not make sense. We do not become extraordinary by simply ignoring our flaws. We become extraordinary by understanding it and relentlessly acting it to destroy it completely. This is what the Christian church is also doing.

I am a Christian – but you probably guessed that fact, right? And, while it’s true that I love Jesus, I also love going out with friends (not all of whom are religious) and partying.

That said, one of the things I really do look forward to now is going to the W.I. If you didn’t know, W.I. stands for Women’s Institute, and although I am not a woman – that I am aware of – I really enjoy going to help out. Why? Because I know that when I am there I am really making a difference!

whatever happens I’ll always go to the W.I. And help out – at least for as long as I can, until I get married…if I can find any woman to put up with me, that is…

The W.I. Is a bit of an odd place…mainly because it’s just full of women. I am one of the few men who go there, so every time I do I get to enter into a secret world which very few Christian men see! One of the best things we do is organising all the old clothing to be sent to Africa. We get pretty much anything we can find, and some of the ladies even take the Lining Fabrics out of old curtains and make dresses out of it. It’s pretty amazing to know that God’s work is helping so much. Every time I come away from there I feel completely inspired.

Of course, one problem is that I do sometimes run out of things to say…it’s unavoidable…me being so much younger than most of the women there. While they sit about and nit and natter, I generally just go through the bags with my ear-phones in. That said, there is one woman there who is hilarious. Her name is Mazy and she’s always been there, if you know what I mean.

Every village probably has a Mazy. Mazy is kind and loyal and has everything in her hand-bag at all times. Basically she is the village saint and everyone knows her and she knows everyone. She’s also one of those women who you see who is really stooped with a bad back. But she never lets it get her down, and she has only ever missed one W.I. session and that was because she was “on her death bed” as she told us when she got back.

So, whatever happens I’ll always go to the W.I. And help out – at least for as long as I can, until I get married…if I can find any woman to put up with me, that is. That remains to be seen!

After many talks about the self-recognition of many young Christians who do not even know the meaning and the purpose of actually being a religious believer of the most spread religious group in the world, finally there is a reason why we should congratulate the Christian Community and the Church of Rome and Vatican. The Pope who organized the Youth Day in Madrid this year provoked millions of youths to find a way into the belief in Christ and inspired almost one million people who traveled tens of thousands of kilometers to see him in the Spanish capital.

And just like Chia Seeds, religion needs to be planted into the youths if we want to see the growing of a religiously healthy young society. This is what the purpose of the Youths day is - a truly significant and quite contributing initiative from the Vatican. It was a spectacular view seeing millions of young people tearing from the speech of the first among the priests. The Pope delivered a speech that touched the hearts of the youths gathered in Rome and watching around the world - this inspired many more young people to seek to become better Christians and more responsible individuals.

Furthermore, the event itself as an initiative is perfectly suitable for the needs of the modern society. It allows people to communicate more openly to others sharing the same religious orientation, allows youths to seek a more openly minded approach to religion that resembles the values of the modern day world. Thus the Vatican did not only make youths tear from the speech about the values of the 21st century people, but also provoked the recognition, the self orientation and the religious beginning into the hearts of millions of people around the world who would be the next generation of devoted Christians.

Prayer is a man’s conversation with God. It is the dialogue in which man can discuss anything and everything with God. When we pray we believe there is a supernatural personality listening to us, who is omnipotent, omnipresent and omniscient. And even though God knows everything we need to express our desires to Him in words as He also desires to listen from us, not only to have fellowship with us but also to record a receipt of the desires of our free will.

Imagine getting everything you want, even before you ask God. Can God do it? Well there is nothing impossible to God. But what happens is such a scenario; we will stop having fellowship with God, our creator. I was at this website recently http://www.discountdisplays-express.co.uk and I was amazed at the various options they had for shopkeepers to showcase what they had to offer. I wondered if God would showcase what He has for us then we would never deviate from having fellowship with Him.

It is very important to understand the power of fellowship within prayer. Many people are unable to understand the importance of fellowship, this majorly due to the lack of understanding about God’s personality. We sometimes think of God as a powerful force rather than a powerful person. For any relationship to flourish there is a minimum requirement of two individuals. The moment you think of God as a force or some energy, you kill the possibility of an eternal fellowship. If God simply wants us to honour and acknowledge his existence then there was no reason for Jesus to come and die for us. But it was God’s intention to have fellowship with us, for which He orchestrated the crucifixion of His Son Jesus, that we may have the spirit of son ship, fulfilling the requirement of an eternal fellowship.

In our culture today we see a lot of importance given to the mother, especially by the sons. It is a common understanding that the daughters love the father more and the mothers love the son. So in a house where there are no daughters, the fathers normally get lesser attention.

I am not going to say that fathers are more important than mothers, but I will surely say that both are equally important and blessed are the children who have both of them in their life. I would like to thank God for giving me such a wonderful father and mother. Both of them have been very affectionate, loving, caring and leading.

There is no mention of father’s day in the Bible, but I would like to mention about one particular day from the bible where the faith of a father was tested. And this test was initiated by God.

Genesis 22:1 and it came to pass after these things, that God did tempt Abraham, and said unto him, Abraham: and he said, Behold, here I am.

2 And he said, Take now thy son, thine only son Isaac, whom thou lovest, and get thee into the land of Moriah; and offer him there for a burnt offering upon one of the mountains which I will tell thee of.

This is rather absurd requirement from God, especially because God had promised Abraham with children as numerous as the sand and the stars and Isaac was the promised child. Over here we see the jealousy of God and the love of a father for his son highlighted. The bible says in Exodus 34:14 for the LORD, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God. Even though God loved Abraham, he still tested him, in order to bless him more in future.God is the ultimate investor and he invest’s in people’s lives. He has better investment plans than Rowan Dartington. Many times God requires unimaginable things from us. This is not to put us in trouble, but only to see our commitment and love for Him, so that He could bless us more.

While reading this passage from the Bible I was thinking why God tested Abraham. Why did He test the love of father and not that of a mother? Is it because the father’s love is deeper? We normally tend to think fathers don’t care. But in this divine intervention we see the proof of the love of a father, which even made the Sovereign God Jealous. So if you have not been thinking right about your father, make sure you make him feel good and do everything that is due to him. Fathers also love their children and many times even more than mothers.

The resurrection of Jesus Christ transformed the tragedy of the cross in to the glorious victory of the church. In the resurrection the divine destiny of mankind, which was designed in the past eternity, has been eternally settled. So when we enunciate the word Easter the spirit of resurrection touches our souls. The sum total of story of the Crucifixion and Easter is nothing but the Lamb turned in to the Lion. (Rev 5:5, 6) Word Easter is used in Germanic languages to denote the festival of the vernal equinox and subsequently, with the coming of Christianity to denote the anniversary of the resurrection of Christ.

The Easter miracle is the heart of the Christian faith. It is like custom stickers on the heart of every Christian. Indeed it is the resurrection which interprets the cross; therefore it has a great impact on disappointed, distracted disciples and followers of Christ. On the other hand it became a tragedy and shame to the Roman government and its people. In fact the dawn of the first Easter was the dawn of Christianity itself. Christian faith is the resurrection faith. Christian theism is resurrection theism.

The resurrection power of Jesus Christ has been invading mankind by the divine love of Christ from the first Easter down to the 21st century and it will continue till He comes again.

The resurrection proves that the scandal of the cross really is God’s saving deal. Christological considered that the resurrection established Jesus as the Son of God. So Easter is an integral part of the whole redemptive process.

The bible talks about we being the ambassadors of Christ which mean God is making His appeal through us. When we accept Jesus Christ as our savior we are no more of this world but are to this world as His representation. We no longer hold the DNA of this world but our DNA Testing automatically shows the DNA of Christ.

Many of us know the significance of being an ambassador however do not discharge the duties as responsible ambassador. Being a member of a big church or attending services or mass on a regular basis does not make us a true ambassador however living a life which portraits the life of Christ makes us a true ambassador. Therefore we need to be an effective ambassador of Christ. We should not forget the fact that we are the authorized representatives of Christ on this earth.

As an ambassador of Christ we need to have clear picture and the importance of our authority. We need to understand Christ who has given us the authority. To be an ambassador for Christ is an honor and a great privilege. To be an ambassador is to let others know about the kingdom you belong, the salvation and forgiveness from sin that we receive though Christ. The bible says, “All have sinned and have come short of the glory of God”. We have the nature of sin in us but when we accept Jesus as our Saviour old things are gone and we become a new creation of God.

So to be a good ambassador lets understand the saving knowledge of Christ.

If we are to follow Jesus’real example make a real difference in our communities as Christians then we must be careful about what motivates us and what make us do what we do. Jesus’was a rebel, and the godfather of the anti-establishment.

In his time the established Jewish religion had become a strict set of rules and regulations and people were motivated not by pleasing God but by keeping up appearances and being seen in the right place with the right people and doing the right thing, but betraying the image that they portrayed when people’s back were turned. In short as Paul put it they were following the letter of the law but not the spirit of the law.

When Jesus’came he really upset things, he really pissed of the establishment. He caused havoc when he turned over the tables at the Passover, he more than raised eyebrows when he broke the ‘laws’of the Sabbath. But when people tried to criticise him he was always able to back himself up with scripture and show that he was right whilst simultaneously illustrating the truth of the scriptures that had been lost through generations of vanity and pride.

What motivates us? Do we go through the paces and place too much importance on being seen to do the right thing? Or do we show our love those that need it regardless of what we think other might think and show our anger to those who deserve it? We should stand up in the face of complacency to make a difference in the world for those that need it most not maintain the status quo for those who need a slap in the face or a kick up the but (metaphorically of course).

It is easy to sit here and think this as I type but in real situations it is so much harder to do the right thing. Jesus got away with what he did because he was able to justify it scripturally. This was because he knew the scripture well. That is why we must study the scripture, not to make ourselves feel knowledgeable so we can show off to our Christian friends and give ourselves a sense of intellectual superiority, but so we can kick ass and make people think about the truth. Studying scripture is not easy and sometimes it feel like we need a carte r4 implanted in our brains but that is why we should do it.

What is better a person who know the scripture but only shows off his knowledge or someone that can’t quote chapter and verse but who lives a life that is an example of what the scripture is about in it’s essence.

Just this week, four people have told me how amazing their payg mobile broadband is. Then they’ve gone on to bang on – and on-and-on, in one case – about how amazing it is to have a contract mobile phone. They do this because they know that a) I have a Pay As You Go phone and don’t care much for contracts and b) they love the word amazing. Honestly? If it was me in charge I’d ban the word amazing, then I’d make everyone aware of just how devious the mobile phone people are.

See, it’s amazing that you can get a phone on contract that you could never get on Pay As You Go, and it’s amazing that you get all these free minutes and apps and things. Great. But what people don’t realise, when they enter into a contract, is what a pain it is to get out of one of these things. The fact is you can’t: I once had a contract phone, and the cancellation fee was so expensive that it was cheaper just to pay money every month, even though I barely used my phone because the network where I was was so rubbish.

Of course, there are loads of advantages, but Pay As You Go isn’t all that bad either. For example, yes it costs me much more per call, but if I don’t want to top up for a while then I don’t HAVE to. So I am free, in a way. And since everyone I know has enough free minutes to call me for hardly any cost, is there really any point in me also getting a contract phone?
